Two-Tone Resin Bound Driveway Transformation in Brighton
For this project in Brighton, our customer wanted a driveway that offered something more distinctive than a standard single-colour resin finish.
We created a bespoke two-tone resin bound driveway, combining a Heather Grey primary surface with a contrasting black resin border. The driveway was then framed with Tegula charcoal block paving edging to complete the design.
The result is a clean, contemporary driveway with strong definition and plenty of visual impact.
The Brief
The customer wanted a modern driveway that would complement the property's brickwork and dark exterior features while creating a premium finish.
Rather than keeping the entire driveway one colour, we introduced two contrasting resin finishes to create a defined border within the driveway itself.

Heather Grey Resin Bound Driveway
The main driveway was installed using Heather Grey resin bound surfacing.
The lighter aggregate creates a bright, contemporary appearance and provides an excellent contrast against the darker elements of the design.
Resin bound surfacing is particularly effective for creating clean, seamless areas, making it possible to incorporate different colours and shapes into a bespoke driveway design.
Contrasting Black Resin Border
One of the standout features of this driveway is the black resin-bound edging running around the main Heather Grey surface.
Rather than simply using block paving to create the border, the darker resin creates a second layer of contrast within the driveway itself.
This gives the design a much more bespoke appearance and helps define the main parking area.
Tegula Charcoal Block Paving Edging
The entire driveway was then finished with Tegula charcoal block paving edging.
The dark block paving complements the black resin perfectly, creating a strong perimeter around the lighter Heather Grey surface.
The combination of the two darker finishes against the lighter resin gives the driveway a crisp, architectural appearance.

This project was completed in just four days, providing the customer with a completely transformed driveway in a relatively short timeframe.
