After moving into their new home, our customer wanted to make the most of their garden by replacing a small, outdated patio with a much larger and more functional outdoor living space.
D Sharp Design & Build was commissioned to extend the patio by approximately two metres and create a seamless design stretching from boundary to boundary. The result is a modern garden that offers far more usable space while blending premium materials with carefully designed landscaping and feature lighting.
The Brief
The existing patio was too small for the customer's needs and didn't make the best use of the available garden. They wanted to maximise every inch of space while creating a contemporary outdoor area that would be ideal for relaxing, entertaining and enjoying throughout the year.
Alongside the larger patio, they wanted features that would elevate the overall appearance of the garden, including subtle lighting, attractive planting areas and retaining walls that would become part of the overall design rather than simply a practical necessity.
What We Did
Extended the existing patio by approximately two metres.
Installed a new Jupiter Beige porcelain patio across the full width of the garden.
Finished the paving with Jasmine grout for a seamless contemporary appearance.
Constructed new retaining block walls.
Rendered and painted the retaining walls to create a clean architectural finish.
Installed integrated LED lighting within the retaining walls.
Created raised flower beds on both sides of the patio to introduce colour and planting.
Completed all finishing works to deliver a modern, high-quality outdoor space.
