Complete Garden Transformation With Porcelain Patio In Chertsey
This Chertsey garden has been completely transformed from an overgrown and underused outdoor space into a modern, practical garden designed around the customer's needs.
The project brought together new close board fencing, Brazilian Black porcelain paving, a pathway to the garage conversion, artificial grass and a rendered raised flower bed. The finished garden also complements the garage conversion completed as part of the wider project.
The Customer's Brief
The existing garden had become overgrown and was no longer providing the clean, usable outdoor space the customer wanted.
The aim was to completely redesign the garden, creating a more modern and manageable space while connecting the garden with the newly converted garage at the rear.
The customer also wanted the various elements of the garden to work together visually, rather than having separate finishes that felt disconnected.
What We Did
As part of the garden transformation, we carried out several landscaping and paving improvements.
New Close Board Fencing
We installed new 6ft x 6ft close board fence panels, supported by concrete posts and concrete gravel boards.
The new fencing provides a clearly defined boundary around the garden and creates a fresh backdrop for the landscaping.
Brazilian Black Porcelain Patio
The main paved area was completed using Brazilian Black porcelain paving.
The dark porcelain creates a strong contemporary feature and contrasts particularly well with the bright green artificial grass and white rendered flower bed.
A porcelain pathway was also installed, creating a route from the main garden area through to the new garage conversion.
The pathway and patio were finished with light grey grout, providing definition between the individual paving slabs.
Raised Flower Bed
A retaining flower bed was constructed along one side of the garden.
The wall was then finished with white silicone render, matching the new garage conversion and creating a consistent appearance between the different areas of the property.
The raised bed provides a dedicated space for planting while also helping to structure the garden layout.
Attention to Detail
One of the key features of this project is the way the different finishes have been brought together.
The Brazilian Black porcelain provides the dark foundation, while the white silicone-rendered retaining wall creates a strong contrast.
